5. Lands of Hyrule

Kokiri Lands

Kokiri Forest- The huge forest where the Kokiri live, protected by the Great Deku Tree. When Link is a kid , the Great Deku Tree was alive and the Forest was under his protection; it had no monsters and was a safe haven for Link. But the Great Deku Tree faded after his death, and when Link returns as an adult, the Forest is swarmed with monsters (at least until Link kills Phantom Ganon and removes the evil he caused). Link lives in the Kokiri Forest, where he keeps a cow in his house (if you beat Malon's racing record).

The Lost Woods- A dark and forbidden area of the Kokiri Forest, if a child gets lost in the Lost Woods they will turn into a Skull Kid. If an adult gets lost in the Woods, they will turn into a Stalflos. There are secret passages in the Woods leading to faraway places.

Sacred Grove-The area of the Lost Woods housing the forest temple.

Hylian Lands

Hyrule Field- Hyrule Field is a huge area of land located in central Hyrule. You can reach all the other lands from this area. When Link is a child, Stalchildren come out at night and Peahats infest the fields in the day.

Lon Lon Ranch- The only ranch in Hyrule. Lon Lon Ranch has Cuckoos, cows, and horses. There are 3 Hyrulians living in the Ranch; Talon, his daughter Malon, and Ingo. When Link is an adult, Ingo takes over the ranch and plans to give Epona as a gift to Ganondorf. Beat him 2 times at racing to get Epona, then jump the fence to escape the ranch!

Hyrule Castle Town: The main city in Hyrule, many Hylians live there. There are many shops in the Marketplace. When Link is an adult, Ganondorf has invaded the town and magically created ReDeads, zombie-like monsters which scared the townsfolk off.

Hyrule Castle-The only castle in Hyrule, this is where the Royal Family lives. Link is not allowed to visit it as a child, although he sneaks in once. By the time he is an adult, Ganon has invaded and taken it over.

Kakoriku Village- A town where time dosent flow,it is the hylian town beside hyrule castle.when ganodorf invades hte Hyrulians flee from the castle to Kakoriku Village.

Zora Lands

Lake Hylia- Lake Hylia is the largest body of water in Hylia, and all rivers lead to it. It serves as a watershed for the Hylians, and the Water Temple is hidden on the lake bottom. There were Zoras who lived here; by the time Link was an adult, the Lake dried up and the Zoras were gone. However, the Lake filled up again once Link killed the evil Morpha in the Water Temple.

Zora's River-The Zora's River is the water supply for Hyrule Castle Town. It flows steadily from its source, Zora's Domain, for Link's entire adventure.

Zora's Domain- Zora's Domain is the region with the largest Zora popuation, although it seems some Zoras live in Lake Hylia. The Zora Royal Family live in the Domain. When link visited as a kid, Zora's Domain was a huge system of chambers and caves, some submerged underwater, inside a cliff. Outside, a waterfall spilling pact the exit fed the Zora's River. However, when Link returned as an adult Ganondorf had completely frozen Zora's Domain. During gameplay it stayed frozen, but after Ganon was killed it turned back to normal.

Zora's Fountain- A sacred Zora lake where their deity, the great Jabu-Jabu, is housed. When Link comes back as an adult, it is frozen over and Jabu-Jabu is a solid block of ice.

Ice Cave- A perpetually frozen cave hidden behind the Zora's Fountain.

Goron Lands

Death Mountain- A mountain outside of Kakriko village. It is inhabited by the Gorons. Inside it are the Goron's mine and Goron city. Death Mountain is an inactive volcano while Link is a child... but when he is an adult, Ganondorf's awakening of Volvagia has caused it to active.

Goron City- A huge, multi-level subterranean city built into Death Mountain, it is the primary Goron stronghold. Goron city is lit by torches, and each level is a circle with a huge hole in the center. The tunnels and shops branch off of each circle.

Death Mountain Crater- A burning hot Crater filled with lava where Link needs the heat-resistant Red Tunic to suvive long. The Fire Temple is located here.

Dodongo's Cavern- A subterranean cavern in Death Mountain where the Gorons find the type of rocks they eat.

Dark Lands

The Well- In the center of Kakariko Vilage lies the dark, evil-infested Well. Although the Well that the people of Kakariko drink from was not tainted, beneath it is a sprawling underground labyrinth filled with ReDeads and Green Bubbles. Bongo Bongo was sealed in the Well until he broke free.

Desert Lands

Gerudo Valley- This valley is the entrance to the barren lands of the Gerudo desert theives, a tribe of all women.

Gerudo Fortress- The stronghold of the Gerudo theives, the stone building houses the Gerdudo's prisoners. Also, there is a horseback shooting corridor and a challenge room where the Gerudos train.

Gerudo Desert- A huge desert, sandy leading to the Spirit temple. It is hard to navigate due to the dust storms and immense size, and is filled with regions of sinking sand. Link follows the red flags and travels from each one to the next using his hookshot to get through the desert.

Desert Collosus- The valley where the Spirit Temple is located, and there is the only pool of water in the entire Gerudo Desert. Also, the artifact known as Nayru's Love can be found here.
