Getting The Biggoron's Sword

The Biggoron's Sword is the largest weapon in the game. It does massive damage (although you need two hands to use it, and therefore can't hold a shield!). To get it, you must go through a lengthy 9-step trading process. Here's how:

Pocket Egg -> Cojiro

Go to Kakariko Village as an adult, and talk to the Cucco lady, Anju. She wants you to look after a special Pocket Egg until it hatches. After a few ‘days’ in the game, it hatches. Take the newborn chick to see Talon in one of the houses in the village and try to show it to him. The Cucco crows, and Talon wakes up. Take the Cucco back to Anju and she gives you a Blue Cucco (Cojiro).

Cojiro -> Mushroom

Anju will ask you to take Cojiro to her brother. He is in the Lost Woods. To find him, enter the Lost Woods and take the 1^st left turn. He's sitting there under a tree stump. Show him Cojiro and he gives you a Mushroom.

Mushroom -> Potion

Give the old lady in the Potion Shop (it’s in Kakariko Village) the Mushroom. She makes a potion out of it you can give to the man in the Lost Woods (Anju’s brother).

Potion -> Poacher's Saw

Go back into the Lost Woods, and find where Anju’s brother was. He's not there any more. In his place is a girl who will take the Potion for him. In return she gives you the Poacher’s Saw.

Poacher's Saw -> Broken Goron Sword

Go to the workers encampment in Gerudo Valley. Talk to the head carpenter and give him the Poacher’s Saw. In return, he will give you the Broken Goron Sword. Unfortunately, you have to have it fixed by the Gorons, so head to Death Mountain.

Broken Goron Sword -> Prescription

Find Biggoron near the top of Death Mountain (go up the right path, not towards the Crater). Give him the Broken Goron Sword. He will fix it, but not until he can see better. He gives you a Prescription for his eye medicine.

Prescription -> Eyeball Frog

Give the Prescription from Biggoron to the King Zora in Zora’s Domain. He will give you an Eyeball Frog you have to take to the Professor at Lakeside Laboratory before the frog dies.

Eyeball Frog -> Eye Drops

Go to the Lakeside Laboratory with the Eyeball Frog you got from King Zora. You can’t warp; use Epona to run there. If you make it in time (3 minutes) you with get Eye Drops. Make your way back to Biggoron with the Eye Drops before time runs out (4 minutes)! And remember, no warping.

In return for bringing him the Eye Drops, Biggoron will give you a Claim Check that you can use to claim the finished sword in a few days. Just use the Sun’s Song to make time pass faster, and you’ll get the Biggoron’s Sword when you talk to him again.
